Coming soon — in preparation
A VPN designed to write nothing, and to prove it
Tunvia will be the VPN of the SANTVIA galaxy: WireGuard protocol, relays operated by SANTVIA, no exit point outside the European Union for now. In preparation.
No relay is open yet. No price, no date, no certification announced: we only write about what exists.
What Tunvia will be
A product in preparation, described as it is designed, and nothing more.
WireGuard, nothing home-made
The tunnel will rely on WireGuard, an open and proven protocol. No home-made cryptography, no home-made protocol.
Relays operated by SANTVIA
The relays will be operated by SANTVIA itself, with no intermediary between you and the service operator.
Your IP address masked
The sites you visit will see the relay's address, not yours. A VPN masks an IP address: it does not make your accounts, your cookies or your browser unrecognizable.
One account: Idenva
Access will go through Idenva, the galaxy's single account: there is no Tunvia-specific account. The relay itself will hold no account.
Awaited by Navkrypt
Navkrypt, the galaxy's browser, is already waiting for Tunvia to mask the IP address, through a published interface contract.
No proprietary client
Where the WireGuard app is enough, we will not impose an app of our own.
How zero logs will be proven
A no-logging promise that cannot be verified is worthless. Here are the four planned means, and what each one actually proves.
The design: nothing is written to disk
The relay is designed to write nothing: read-only file system, no writable volume, reproducible image. A third party will be able to verify this without having to trust us. This is the main proof.
The published configuration
The relay configuration will be published and timestamped, along with its fingerprint. It proves intent and consistency; on its own, it does not prove the effect, hence the design.
The signed canary
A signed and dated statement, renewed at a fixed interval, will attest that no injunction has been received. It is not proof that no logs exist, and we will never present it as such.
The external audit, later
An audit by an independent third party will follow. It has not yet taken place, and we will not announce it before it exists.
A building block of the galaxy, not just another app
Tunvia does not present itself as the cheapest or the most extensive. What it brings is its integration with the rest of the galaxy.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tunvia available?
Not yet. Tunvia is in preparation and no relay is open. Write to contact@santvia.eu to be notified when it opens.
Will Tunvia keep a log of my browsing?
No, and it is designed for that: the relay will write nothing to disk. Rather than asking you to believe us, we will publish the means to verify it: the design, the configuration and its fingerprint, a signed canary, then an external audit.
Does a VPN make me invisible online?
No. A VPN masks your IP address from the sites you visit. Your accounts, your cookies and your browser can still recognize you. We promise nothing more.
Where will the exit points be located?
In the European Union only, for now. Exit locations will be announced when the relays open.
What will the price be?
No price has been published, deliberately: we do not set a price for a service that is not open.
Will I need to install a Tunvia app?
No, where the WireGuard app is enough: no proprietary client when the standard does the job.
